Chevy Scottsdale short wheel base

Chevy Scottsdale short wheel base

I' having problems with the gas tanks in this particular truck it has two tanks it won't switch from the left tank, the right is full but the left well you know anyway if you can help me with this problem i would aprieciate it it has been acting up for a while but now it's done it won't switch. What can i do to diagnose the problem.

First thing, check the switch. Take it out of the dash and test it using a multimeter. Use the continuity setting on the meter. You should be able to rule out the switch this way.

If the switch is good, next check should be your wiring. This can be a PITA to try and trace, also check your electrical connections at both ends for corrosion. I'd almost bet money on the switch or the wiring though.

I agree. Likely a bad switch. A couple of bucks at any parts store or dealer...depending on the year, which is not supplied.
