Windshield Wiper Problem

Car is a 1992 Pontiac Sunbird. When we turn the car on with the windows are up, the drivers door window automatically comes down. We have put a new motor in already, thinking that might be the problem, but it didn't fix it. We put in another power window switch, and that didn't work. It only happens with the driver's door window, not the passenger side - it works fine. Someone suggested that there might be a wire crimped or that two wires are touching somewhere in the wire harness - anyone had this happen to them and maybe have some suggested - it is driving my husband crazy. He has tried everying.

I'd agree with the wire theory. May be a bear to find.

Take the door panel off and inspect the wires where they run through the rubber boot closely. Oftentimes they wear away and rub into each other.

Unfortuantely, a 1992 Sunbird is not the bastion of quality .
