no air conditioning

I have 94 Dodge Caravan with a 3.0. A/C clutch fuse keeps blowing when trying to turn on A/C. I have replaced A/C clutch relay which did no good. The fuse blows when the compressor is unpluged. Any ideas on whats causing this problem and how to fix it?

Electrical short in the clutch and/or AC system.

See if autolibrary.org below has a wiring diagram and start there.

It is most likely the electric coil windings of the clutch assembly since it only blows the fuse when you plug it in to the circuit. There is no repairs that can be made to the existing coil, it must be replaced.
