more power??

I have a 1991 Chevy S10 Blazer with a 4.3L V6 engine. I want to know if there are any ideas on how to increase power at a fairly low cost. Thanks for your ideas.

Drop a small-block V-8 into it; very common.

In short, no, nothing that's worth anything.

Buy a Typhoon or Cylcone with a 4.3 and a supercharger. Real hoot to drive and faster than you'll ever need.

The regular 4.3 throttle body engine is a pretty zippy engine, not sure why you'd need or want more power from it.

TowGuy: Easy, but not as easy as you think to do it RIGHT. There are conversion kits to cobble it all together now though.

Hey Joe--

Typhoon & Cycone were Turbocharged, not supercharged.

Definitely a hoot to drive. They squat like a cat when launched on the brake & rip off a nice 1/4 mile time.

Why do I remember supercharged?

It was a vin Z motor with plenty of zip, that's what I remember. Kinda a precursor to the vin W motor.

Definitely a screamer on wheels, that's for sure .

As would a small block V8 in a S/T platform if done right. I can MOVE.

Otter is right. It's a rare bird the Typhoon and Cyclone.

Spend your green on a factory service manual instead of making it "fast".

Lol. Just so happens I have a set for that vehicle that I was going to put up on Ebay very shortly, where I'm sure someone will overpay for .
