Door Squeaks

When I open the driver's side door to my vehicle, I am getting a horrible squeak. Should I use some WD40, or is there a better product to fix this?

Thanks

Craig

WD40 will displace the rust. Then use some white lithium grease to protect and make it roll easier. That's what I do at every oil change

1. It helps if we know what kind of car you're working on. See the very first post in this forum "The Basics by Joe_F--Read before Posting".

2. WD-40 isn't a great lubricant. Most manufacturers recommend white lithium grease or multipurpose grease for door hinges & door checks.
