Can any one tell me what the thread designation is for the flared tube ports for the air pump tubes. I want to fix this the right way, with brass plugs. These fittings are not a std pipe thread. The air injection tubes were already gone when I bought the motor. I know this is illegal for street use, but this motor is going to be swapped into an old Jeep that is used off-road only. This is an '86 Chevy 305. I have the same engine in my truck, but I would hate to have to take the tubes loose to check the fitting size. I don't think they would come off without destroying them any way. Thanks

Okay, this is a wierd one. A couple weeks ago my son's Blazer had some major work done: starter, coil, alternator, plug wires, etc. Things were okay for about two weeks. During the daytime the truck runs fine. But turn on the headlights and it acts like it's running on 5 or 6 cylinders - very rough with little power. It certainly appears to have some kind of short. Could this be an alternator problem when major elec is diverted to the lights? Any suggestions?? fred
