Question Squeaking driving me crazy!

I have a 1993 S10 Chevy Blazer LT. I bought it in 95 and love it. I have kept it well serviced and it looks like new. But the last few months it has developed an inside squeak that really gets on my nerves.

It is somewhere in the cargo area and seems to occur more when it is raining . I put a friend back there as I drove and he could not pin point the squeak. He said is sounded like it was coming from the tailgate. The spare tire is rear mounted on a swing out arm. Can someone please help before I go nuts? Thanks, Larry

I had a wagon the developed a squeaky tail gate. The gate is big and moves alot. Try proping the gate open while you drive to see if the noise is gone.

Otherwise, try removing the spare tire, jack, and any other loose parts in the rear of the car. Process of elimination.

I agree. Remove things one thing at a time and see if that helps or not.
