Lube

All right! It's been years since I did my own lube job. I bought me a pneumatic lube gun. I can't remove the friggin' thing from the grease fitting. What's up? I've yanked, pried, you name it.

1999 Chev. Z-71 Silverado, V-8.

HELP!

Thanks,

John

The first question is why you are using a pneumatic gun. No purpose for those things. Easy to overpressurize, make a mess and blow out the boot.

It may be the wrong size for the fitting you've got it on. Use some screwdriver to wedge it. Spray WD40 into the area to try to free it up.

Because....I guess I'm a Tim The Tool Man type personality. I like power stuff.

I'll give it a pry. Thanks for the response. Sometimes I don't know what I would do with out this site and you guys.

Thanks,

John

Don't worry, I got me one of those too--great in real tight spaces where you can't "pump"!
