1994 Lumina
My mom has a '94 chev. Lumina and it needs a water pump. (they think). Everyone is telling her that they don't have the tools and know how to replace. Is this hard. Are there specific issues with this type of car or is it the same as all the others. OR does she need to take it to the shop. Thanks for the help

The Lumina was available with a 3.1L V6 or a 3.4L Twin Dual Cam V-6 in 1994. The water pump replacement procedure for both engines is very simple. No special tools are needed.

94 Lumina - waterpump
Thanks Joe! Tried to follow your link but it failed. I will try to get my daughter to do the water pump. If it is normal she shouldn't have a problem. ? Should she try to change the timing belt at the same time.

You have to use the link as posted by me or it will not work
. Must copy and paste it to your browser (which must also support cookies).
With that being said, the timing belt should be changed at the same time if so equipped (I believe only the 3.4 engine has belts) to avoid double labor.
