Altima

My wife has a 1995 Nissan Altima. The car is doing something unusual. The fan that blows the air out into the inside of the car when the air or heat is on, does not work on the first 3 positions, and will only work in the #4 position, which is the high one.

Any ideal why the fan would only blow out air in the high position, and not in the lower ones? Any suggestions on what to look for, or what to do?

With winter coming up, we need the fan to work properly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Bad blower motor resistor in most cases. The dealer's parts department can get you a replacement and tell you its location.

Good call! You were correct. The fan blower motor resistor was bad. I had a replacement put on and the fan works now.

Thanks for the help in pointing me in right direction.
