92 Cadillac Seville/interior lights

I have a 1992 Cadillac Seville that upon leaving the car the interior lights remain on. Its normal for them to do so for about 10 seconds after leaving, however, they continue to flash on and go off. This of course after a night in the garage drains the battery. Is there a sensor or breaker causing this problem prehaps? Any help on this nightmare would be welcome....Thanks!

Could be a lighting or delay module if so equipped.

I would make sure that the door pin switches work right. Spray each with WD40 and work them in and out a few times to see if that helps.

The door switches are mounted on the back of the door latch on these cars. They screw in to a plastic part of the latch. The plastic hardens & cracks, which causes the switch contacts to remain closed when the door is closed.

A new latch is pretty cheap from GM.
