1982 chevy silverado

i have a 1982 chevy silverado reg. cab. my question is...i'm trying to get the dash off to replace speakers. i've taken all the screws out, and started pulling the dash out,,,,but the a/c vents are holding it in place. i dont know how to disconnect the vents so i can remove the dash. all suggestions are appreciated.
thanks

Hit your local library for a manual or the parts store. Alternatively, the GM dealer might be able to provide an exploded view.

Can also go to a junkyard, find a similar truck and play around with taking the dash apart there.
