transmission problem

1994 chevy lumina van, 3800 v6 automatic with overdrive. About 5 weeks ago I first notice that when you accelerting or braking the van has no power or would jerk. This is a intermitting problem. Two weeks ago the fluid, filter, and gasket was changed by at a garage. That didn't fix the problem. Took it to a chevy dealership and they inform me that the transmission valves was sticking causing it not to shift properly. Dealer don't work on transmissions. Is there a additive that would work or what is the best way to get it fix?

The dealer doesn't work on transmissions? That's a first .

Try another Chevy dealer. Likely stuck shift solenoids or torque converter clutch solenoids.

Are you sure its trans related?I get people with misfires thinking the same thing. What services have been done recently?I agree with Joe a dealer that doesn't do tranny work kinda scary.I could change all of your solenoids in 1 and 1/2 hours.Did they report any trouble codes?
