93 Chevy Astro

I have an astro mini van. Something popped underneath as I was driving (actually, I was trying to keep it running so I had my foot on the brake, while giving it gas) Someone said after the popping that my transmission went out. So I had another put in. It pulled kind of jerky at first, then it started smoothing out. Well now it just quit pulling. I went from accellerating up a hill to the motor reving and now when you put it in park, it grinds and it also rolls sometimes. could it be a computer? a book for 85-93 astros shows a (TV) throttle cable and reset button, that is not anywhere on my van... I was wondering if that is what may have popped and broke off... please help.

I would take it back to the transmission shop. This is their problem not yours. They are responsible for the repair that was done including towing if needed.
