1989 S15 Jimmy - No Fuel

Have 1989 S15 Jimmy (4.3 liter, 4WD, auto trans, 140000 miles). Truck died at an intersection and would not restart. Cranked over OK but acted like there was no fuel. Had it towed home. Poured a small amount of gasoline in the throttle body and it ran briefly (1-2 seconds). Found that the ECMB fuse (10 amp) had blown. Replaced fuse and truck started and ran OK for about 5 minutes and then the fuse blew again. Is the electric fuel pump causing this fuse to blow?

Could be a pinched ground wire, yes.

Can you hear the fuel pump whirr each time you turn the key on or off?
