No instrument panel lights

I have a1987 Ford Bronco 2 and I installed another radio that works fine but my instument panel lights won't come on ,the headlights work fine.I saw that the fuse was blown and replaced it but the new fuse blows when I turn on my headlights. Can you help?

Sounds like you have too much power flowing through one fuse. Are you sure you replaced every fuse and wired up the radio properly? I noticed this with my old car...if you run too much power through one wire, it'll continue blowing fuses so you might want to run another power and ignition wire and see how that works out.

Check for overloads on the system, also check for a bad headlight switch.

Sounds like you hooked something to the instument lite wire that don't belong. Poss ground wire.

Try going to www.installdr.com for a factory wiring diagram of your radio plug.

Thanks for everyones help. What I found out it was not a factory harness and wires were just spliced.I went to the junk yard and got a harness and now everything works fine.
