ERG, valve or Solenoid?

1997 Dodge Caravan 3.0 SE 84500 mi.

Check engine light stays on from the time the key is turned on untill its turned off. Got a code reading today and pointed to below egr (can't remember word for word of reading). haynes says if the light is constant its the soleniod. Seems only the dealer has the solenoid for this veh. Went ahead and ordered the ERG valve, Does anyone think I will need the solenoid? Emissions are due on the 5th.

order you a new egr from dealer it should come with solenoid and vacum lines also. usually the solenoid is the portion that does go bad.

Thanks, if I am lucky the valve I ordered will come with the other parts aswell, since they were n/a'd on the order screen. If past experience holds true the n/a'd parts usualy come with the kit.
