SATURN question--Joe-Anyone please!

Gotta work on this car tomorrow. Is a 92 sl2 I believe(the little 2door coupe)

You know how the spark plugs are deep in those tubes on the center of the head???

Well: A: I pull the spark plug, and it is drenched with oil. It seems like the tube is half filled with oil on number 1 and 4.

B: Number one and 4 have oil also on the tip.

I need to fix this. Hopefully this is a common prob with saturns. Is it the valve cover?? Whatelse might it be. This is for my Bro and Sis in law, and they have 0$$$$$, so I cannot ditch this thing.

Thanks again, Jeremy

Bad valve cover gasket/o ring seals.

Yes, very common on Saturn. Happened on my mother's too.

Saturn sells you grey silicone cured in a vacuum sealed package for 15 bucks (yes, this is true).

You can probably go to the parts store and get high temp grey silicone from Permatex and make your own gaskets. Each plug hole has one and the whole valve cover does too.

Not a bad job. Pretty easy.
