Fuel Pump

1987 Mazda RX7 Non Turbo- Car will start only for short time. Pulled the fuel pump because we didn't hear it running when we turn on the vehicle.( The whirrling sound that is said to be heard) Is there some way to tell if its good or bad. Hope you understand. Ok checked the fuel pump and its good, but the wires to the fuel pump is not showing any juice. Where do I go from here on troubleshooting. Thanks

If the pump runs when power is brought to it, it's probably ok.

As mentioned, check the relay and wiring for fault as that will stop power to the fuel pump.
