1988 chevy S10 stuck brake light

1988 chevy S10 stuck brake light

its a 1988 chevy S10 4.3 V6 when i turn the vehicle on the brake lights stays in the rear on and dont shut off ? when the vehicle is off i hit the brake and they seem to work normal lights turn on normal? need to know if its the stoplight switch that needs replaced or do i have a another problem HELP!!!!

Do you mean the brake lights at the rear or the idiot light on the dash?

Stuck relay?Not sure if Brake lights don't work by relays.Don't think so.

the hayne reapir manual say it has a stoplight switch under the driver side panel near the brake says it send power to them when depressing brake so this one has a switch? still need help on this thanks davidf
