Bring the vehicle to Autozone and have them scan the trouble codes. They do not charge for this.

Tell us what they find.

Already took truck to Auto Zone. They said it was a dealer code they can't read it. Have to take it to a ford garage. I thought I might buy an OBD 2 scan tool but they are expensive. Not sure if I can read the tool and fix it myself. Don't want to waste money. Need help making a decision about this.

Get it to another Autozone with a better scanner or a guy with a clue how to use it.

Barring that, any independent shop with a good quality scanner should be able to pull the codes.

Tell us what they find.

Alternatively, a Ford dealer may perform a goodwill warranty (depending on the repair, situation, and dealer) for less money.
