Question Cruise problem

I have a 1995 Buick Regal with 122000 miles. It is in good (well kept) condition. The cruise control has quit working (not compelety). It all started about a month ago, when it would act up occasionally...now it works only occasionally. It's condition seemed to worsen over time. It has never acted like this before. I wonder if it's a loose connection. Anyone have any good ideas.

Joe_F,
Could I get you to be a little more specific...I haven't been able to find anything yet. Still looking!

There's a ton there to start with!!!!

1) Does alldata.com show any bulletins?
2) Did you check the fuses?
3) Connections on the cruise unit?
4) What does the autolibrary.org link in my signature file show on the operation, workings, diagnosis for the system?

Start there, tell us what you find and we'll go from there

Joe_F,
I can't seem to get into www.autolibrary.org. It keeps telling me that I'm not authorized to get into the program.

As noted in my signature file, you must cut and paste the URL as I have it there.

Common problem with GM cruise controls, especially when intermittent, is a high internal resistance of the stop light switch. Replacement usually takes care of it. Seen a ton of 'em.
