Just Married and there is Shoe Polish all over my car

Does anyone have any tips on removing shoe polish from auto glass and clear coat finish? I just got back from the honeymoon and rain caused the polish to run down the windows onto the paint. Nothing I have tried seems to be working.

Thanks

WD-40 and a rag. Use liquid car wash to get rid of the WD-40. Don't use detergent, it's bad for the finish.

Shoe Polish

You can also use a product called Goo-Gone and a rag. Wash off with a car wash product or better yet go to a car wash. It will disolve the petrolem base of this product and get all the stains out.

It may go away by itself like my shoes.

Bug and tar remover should work. Use sparingly to avoid streaking and wiping out the clearcoat.
