ABS warning light question

today my abs warning light lit up on the dash of my 95 Astro van.

i've never had problems with this in the past and today my wife and daughter noticed it was on a couple of times when they had the van out. they said the brakes were fine.

what could be causing this to happen???

just a side note ,, it's been snowing here since yesterday afternoon and we've gotten quite a bit of snow/sleet , could this be part of the cause of the abs acting up??

thanks gord

Unless you have a scanner and the proper tools to repair this, it is best left to a professional to diagnose.

The cause of the light must be determined. Don't fool around with brakes.

Check brake fluid level in reservoir. Don't know about Chevys, but my sister's Windstar got a light from low fluid.
