Loud Squeal

I have an 86 Plymouth Reliant SE 2.2 Liter with power steering and power brakes and has 89,000 miles on it.When i put it into gear it makes a loud squealing noise then goes away after a little bit.It doesnt do this all the time and seems to only do it when i have the heater/air fan on.It has never had any belts replaced as far as i know.Would this be my alternator/water pump belt needing replaced or would it be something else.

I put a new goodyear gatorback alternator belt on last week and the squealing has stopped! Now i hope it stays that way!
