how to hook up timeing light to 91 s10 4.3. i just put in new long block set the piston at top #1 and dis.pointing at #1. it starts and runs good but i am not sure that i'm on the money. sorry i did not tell you more but my first time on this site.i have done this before, a long time ago, lost my inst. book, and cannot find in any shop manual i have. thanks hershell

See the links in my signature file below. No need to set the timing on a computer controlled vehicle like this. No benefit unless you busted a timing chain.

there is a connector that needs to be disconnected before you set timing located on the passenger side floorboard, it is a single wire connector and wire color is tan with black stripe after setting timing to spec 0 degrees plug back in connector.
