Any locksmith will fix anything to do with a car keying problem. They are real pros and can change your ignition lock in a jiffy. My ignition lock jammed so I couldn't remove the key on a long trip.I went to a dealer and he wanted an enormous amount of money like one hundred and fifty dollars and he didn't look very honest so I looked up a lockksmith outlet in the yellow pages and he had the steering wheel off and all kinds of other things removed and he had the lock changed in twenty minutes.I am sure the dealer would have charged me for a couple of hours labor. The lock smith charged me about 25 dollars with a new set of keys included.I suggest you don't remove the steering wheel and change the lock because from what I saw, it is complicated job.leave it to a pro.

It's not too hard, but there are a few special tools that make the job much easier. I tend to agree with the locksmith idea. A locksmith should be able to make a new key for it without removing the cylinder. Also, you may want to check with a dealer to see if there is a key code that would let them know what key pattern it takes, and they may be able to make one from that.

Locksmiths carry genuine carmaker ignition switches for most cars ,at least the bigger outlets .They don't have to make a set of keys if they carry genuine parts like Ford or GM.
