87' jeep cherokee

87' jeep cherokee chief, 271,000 miles. out of nowhere the tail lights and dash lights quit working. at the same time. everything else seems to be fine. brake lights, head lights, dome lights all o.k. any ideals where to start? oh, checked the bulbs and fuses of course all o.k. too.

sounds like it may be a bad headlight switch, does the front park lamps work to?

parking lights don't work either! blinkers, yes. actually everything else does, except dash and tail lights.
