jerk when shifting

Hey I have a Mazda 626 that 1993 that jerks from first to second on the shift. I heard this could have to do with the throttle or idle setting. Any ideas??

How's the condition and level of the tranny fluid? Last time it was serviced?

It could also be internal tranny failure.

Have a tranny shop drive it to check it out. Sounds like internal problems. Mileage?
