heating failure

1989 Plymouth Reliant with 2.5 Liter engine

Very little inside heat. I changed the engine radiator and the thermostat. All the fuses are good. The water guage on the dash shows HOT, but the engine radiator is cold. could I have a bad water pump or heater-core or what? HELP! gbundy

not much heat

hey pal my assumption is that either you have a bad heater valve or a bad heater core.

Warm up the vehicle to operating temperature.

Feel both heater hoses going to the radiator core. If they are hot to the touch, the problem is with the vent door system inside the vehicle. If they are not hot, it is a cooling system issue.
