parking brake

I was reading in popular mechanics that one should always use the parking brake.Failure to do this results in the calipers and or pads to not automatically adjust as they should.Do you have any thouhts on this?

Rear disc brakes self adjust each time you use them, that is their design .

However, the cables can freeze up from non-use, so it's a good idea to lube them and use them periodically to keep them fresh .
