Hi there, its me again.Last week i had asked the question abouth the clutch master cylinder on my car.And Joe you were right when you said it sounded like the whole clutch was shot. Now my question in relation to this is, Would or wouldn't you recomend putting a rebuilt clutch in?my mechanic says it wont last but i'd like to think that it would be close to comparison to a brand new one.The difference in the amount is quite considerable and being just after christmas cash is tight, but i dont want to be doing this in a couple of months!!!!!! P.S. its a 3.1 multi port with apx 240k on it......Thanks!!!!!!

Clutch kits vary widely in quality and the price reflects that. Go with the best you can afford and what the shop will warranty the longest.

The parts are cheap in comparison to the labor. Replace the clutch disc, pressure plate, and throwout bearing and make sure the flywheel is checked/resurfaced all at the same time.
