1989 seville

the car has a chip in the key and all the sudden one day the car anti theft system wont let the car start

Clean the key with a pencil eraser and try it.

Failing that, look for broken wires under the column with the VATS anti theft system.

Failing that, bad VATS module or broken wires inside the column. A competent shop can solder in a proper value resistor to bypass the system and make it work like a normal car.

cheap fix, but keep in mind that if you go the solder route, you'll have no anti-theft.

Not many people want a 1989 Seville though .
