Does anyone know how to remove and replace the self locking nut which hold on the brake drum to the axle???

I have no problen doing the brakes but have no idea how to start with this strange nut.

Thanks,

If you mean the large nut in the center, a socket of that size should loosen it. Some use cotter pins to hold the nut onto the rear spindle.

Something to look at when you do this, as my old memory fails me..Look to see if 1 of the locking nuts might be a left-hand thread nut. I can not remember if your car has this set-up, but do remember some late 80's models that the driver's side nut is a left hand thread.
