Emergency Brake Light

Boy wouldn't you know it,i just past my factory warranty and already i have a problem, although minor.I have a 2000 Ford Ranger xl 2.5 4cyl shortbed and when i push in on the emergency brake ,the light will not come on.Now when i put my hand on it and push down and wiggle it a little bit it will sometimes come on. What do i need to do to fix this problem?

Likely just a sticky switch. You'll need to track down the location of the switch and see if it needs adjustment and/or some lubrication.

That's a "parking" brake, by the way; lots of people refer to it erroneously as an "emergency" brake.

Where would be the most likely place that this" Parking Brake" switch be located and look like.

Call your local dealer and ask them. They'll tell you in a jiffy.
