Online parts retailer

I'm looking to buy general maintenance parts and I would like to know if anyone has done cost comparisons. Has anyone used carparts.com? Are parts less expensive than a dealer/Pep Boys? Looking for suggestions.

Thanks

I'm on the web all the time searching for parts. I post on about 6 different boards. If you want to use a site that does some comparsons for you try www.autowhiz.com If you are looking for specific brands..Ford, Gm etc let me know. You can also do a search on www.google.com and pull up a ton of info.

It all depends on who you are. Guys like us moderators are "in the trade" and usually buy cheaper, better and faster than the online guys, but not everyone is in this boat .

Depends on the car, model, what you want, how soon you want it, product quality, etc.
