auto problem

I have a 2001 Chevy S-10 PU, 4 cyl. My problem is that upon take off it hesitates and dies and I have to turn off the key and restart the engine and can drive again. I thought it was the fuel filter and replaced it yesterday at the Chevy dealer. Today I had the very same problem. Any ideas?

I wish, the mileage is over 36,000 already, but I think you are right to have someone take a look.

Start with the links and posts in my signature file below. If the simple checks don't reveal anything, have it looked at.

When's the last time it saw any maintenance?

I did the right thing I took it to the dealer. It was covered under an emmission warranty at no cost. It was a throttle position sensor.
thank you anyway
