car won't start in cold weather

I started the van (1990 Aerostar-fuel injected) and it ran for 2 or 3 minutes and then quit and won't restart. It cranks ok but just sputters and quits while trying to fire. It is -30 degrees. Have boosted it and it turns over like crazy but will not fire. Gas line is not frozen as I had a bottle of gasline antifreeze added to this tank of gas, and it has been plugged in all the time to keep the block heater on. Why does it spit and sputter but not start up?
