coolant low light on 1998 grand am

coolant low light on 1998 grand am

coolant low light comes on ,added coolant no leaks temp. gauge in normal range, light still on.

there is a sensor that is float operated in the plastic tank on the fender if you are sure the coolant is full you can usually tap on the tank where the sensor is located to unstick the float and shut the light off. look for the electrical connector that plugs into the tank and tap on the tank just above that location.

May have to change the sensor if it continues, but BeJay is right.
