1998 Pontiac Grand Am Front Impact Bar

Exactly where is it located? Is it the structural member behind the front bumper? Or is it the cross bar near the top of the radiator/fenders?

GM electrical schematic says there are some DRL relays mounted on the front impact bar. If you know, please tell me where they are located.

Your help will be appreciated.

Best regards, Dick

Impact bar is the metal bar that is actually the "bumper" of the vehicle behind the plastic fascia.

Watch out with playing with wires around there. Airbag wires and sensors are in that neighborhood too.
