How to replace timing belt on 85 Mustang V6?

My 85, V6 Ford Mustang needs a new timing belt. Tell me what to do. Thank You!!!!

Errr, see the GM dealer for a replacement vehicle. LOL.

Check autolibrary.org below for any R&R procedures. That might have a chain, not a belt.

You should have the 3.8 L in that mustang right??? I have that same engine in my 94 thunderchicken. It has a timing "chain" not a belt, and Ford told me there is no "recommended" replacement intervals for chains.

Do your research on the 85 motor, but I would venture to guess it has the chain as well, ford is too cheap to redesign anything they don't have too.

No replacement for a full manual on your car, would suggest buying one.

1986 also had this 3.8. In 1987, only the 4 and 8 cylinder engines were used in the Mustang.

I agree with Jeremy on his statements.
