ranger trans fluid

ranger trans fluid

ok i dont like fords but a friend has one mid 80s bronco 2 with a manual trans it needs more fluid. does it go in the plug about 2 inches up on the drivers side. if not where the shifter or

Yes it goes into the plug on the drivers side of the transmission.Their should be a lower plug for draining puposes and then the other one above is for filling.It's a little hard to fill it too as you've probably figured out.I usually take the top off a rear end fluid bottle and screw it onto the transmission fluid bottle for refilling.You can fill it through the shift tower also like you mentioned .

Agreed. Rear end oil is nasty, smelly stuff. LOL

thanx guys. i did check the link joe said but i didnt find the location of the filler.
