brake warning light

Hello. I have a 1990 Jaguar xj6 equipped with a (VCM) vehicle condition monitor. The VCM is giving me a fault of low pads causing my brake light to come on only when depressed. I know this is incorrect because yesterday I changed my front and rear pads along with the front rotor. The back rotor is fine and the fluid level is correct ,ABS is working, brakes are working and the booster is working. Is there a secret reset button that only a dealership mechanic can reset or is there something I can do to fix this annoying brake light or turn it off all together? Thank You.

If the brake light is coming on:

1) Somehow the parking light is engaged.
2) There is still hydraulic fault in the system,
3) A wheel sensor may have gotten ruined during the repair.

I'm for the latter.

I'd suggest if you're going to dabble with these high-end vehicles, you pick up the factory OEM Jaguar manual to guide you.
