I have a 1994 ford t-bird, 8 cyl, automatic, with air. When I'm coming to a stop, it sometimes "squeals" and occasionally will "jump" when accellerating and is slow to accelerate The serpentine belt has several cracks in it. Would this cause it to squeal and/or jump? Brakes have just recently been replaced, so I don't think the squealing is the brakes. Thanks!!

Too vague of a description to help. It could be a misfiring engine among other things.
Change the belt for starters.
