Infinity M30, intermittent starting problems

My mom has a 1990 Infinity M30 with about 90,000 miles. Sometimes when she goes out to start it, all that happens is a "click". It doesn't happen all the time. Seems to be more often lately. Turning the key a bunch of times then letting it sit, then a few more turns and it will usually start. Any help would be greatly appreciated. She is afraid to drive it, for fear of getting stranded somewhere. Thanks.

Check the connections going to the starter, see if its loose. Check also the corosion on the battery terminal, see if its loose. How many miles on the car? Is this car used mostly in city driving? I hope this helps. Keep me posted.
