Try following the top radiator hose, starting at radiator, until you get to the other end. You should see a housing there that the end of the hose is attached to. This should be the thermostat housing. Be cautious when removing and reattaching the housing since they will break under minimal torque. Good 'n tight is usually TOO tight.
Please be sure to unhook the battery cable before starting this project. Also, be prepared to catch the antifreeze from the hose and thermo housing. Antifreeze is not only sweet to the nose, it has a sweet taste...antifreeze is deadly in very small amounts to animals, and to children. Clean your work area thoroughly especially the ground.
Going to your fav auto parts store and picking up model/yr/make specific book for your car (about $14-$20) is your best bet for a job well done.
