Automotive Repair

How do I remove the starter from a 1993 Pontiac Sunbird? I have removed two large bolts but the starter won't release from the engine housing.

Might just need a good whack with a mallet; could be some corrosion holding it snug.

I agree with BeJay. Also check autolibrary.org.

TowGuy: The mallet is for frustration relief .

Thanks Joe_F and The-Tow_Guy.

I always have a BFH near to release frustrations. I can't see a bracket so I'll assume a couple light whacks might do the trick. As an aside, I wasn't able to access autolibrary.org!
