Best Battery

Good discussion on oil...let's have the same on batteries. I have only bought one aftermarket car battery in the last 25 years,an Interstate based on great reviews from CR.

I have tried several different brands in my tractor and only one, Deka, never leaked around the terminal posts and lasted more than 5 years. Since Deka holds up so well against the high vibration in my tractor, I'm inclined to assume it would be a great
aftermarket choice for my car. So, which is the best? Deka, Delco, Interstate, etc?

This is not an opinions forum, it's a repair forum, but here goes .

AC Delco. They fit the best, last the longest and leak the least.

My dad installed a Deka in my 80 Trans Am some years ago when he and my mom were driving it. The tray rotted out from the leaking acid. I never had that problem with Delco. Also the fit is correct on AC Delco batteries.

I recently bought an AC Delco for my 84 Oldsmobile 88. The battery I took out was stamped 1993 .
