when to change spark plugs

I used to own a Camry. It ran great even I never changed plugs while I own it for 5 years. With this memory in mind, my current two cars are dued for plugs change according to service manual.
I am debating myself should I or should't I? Since both cars run rather smoothly.
Commends or suggestions?
Thanks,

Year, make, model, engine size?

Always follow the service manual.

New Plugs

Put the new plugs in. You might be surprised how much better your cars start and run! (remember to check the torque specifications and set the right gap. I only trust the service manual for this information. ) If you have aluminum cylinder heads, tighter isnt necessarily better!
