2003 corolla side mirror

While trying to park my new 2003 corolla into the driveway i slammed off the passenger side mirror. The whole thing came off leaving only 2 wires hanging from the car. I have the black plastic piece and a separte mirror attached to a black peice ( probably the piece that allows for movement). I found a new mirror would cost about $100. I just want to know if i am able to repair it myself or if i need to go to a repair shop, if i do have to bring it to the shop about how much would it cost? thankyou !!

Usually, the whole mirror is held to the door with a few 10mm bolts. You'd have to remove the piece of trim that covers the access to the bolts.

Shops charge about 75 bucks an hour here in the NYC area.
